Why can’t a PowerLock be reused I lube with Rock & Roll Extreme so I never need to remove a Red chain for cleaning. That is, if the chain is removed for any reason a new PowerLock must be used to rejoin it. If you do it shows up as white after several days and it is extremely hard to remove from that textured plastic. According to SRAM, the PowerLock can be used just once for initial installation. The effort was about the same as wax in terms of applying and removing, but make sure you don't get it on the black plastic. I wish I had some pictures to give a better idea what they were but I got them all off before I even thought about posting here.Yes, I have used it. The only way I was able to get them off was with a couple small pieces of cotton that were soaked in rubbing alcohol and even then I think that was more the cotton cloth and the massive amount of elbow grease than the rubbing alcohol. They weren't all clustered in any seemingly meaningful pattern or anything. The spots were all pretty much perfect circles and blood red in color.
I don't know if there's more on the front or anything because I was too focused on getting rid of the ones on the back and I never got to really examining the rest of the car. As I was doing that I noticed that there was a bunch of tiny spots all over the rear of the car. I went out to it this morning to wipe off some of the mud and grime that has accumulated on it so far.
I just bought a white 2018 Focus ST about a week ago. Since this is such a seemingly specific thing, I sincerely doubt anyone will be able to help me with this but here goes.
